Professional journey.
Today I work in Deals Strategy at PwC. My experience combines client and team coordination, strategy and business analysis, and an international MBA internship in Costa Rica.
Turning requests
into work.
From university internship to Key Account Manager in Digital Strategy
My first substantial professional experience began with a university internship at inOne Golf. I stayed afterwards and gradually took on more responsibility, eventually coordinating a team of around five or six people.
As an account manager, I had to turn a client's request into tangible tasks the team could carry out. I followed progress, helped unblock difficult situations and kept the client informed.
If a request involved the web developer, I wanted to investigate what was possible, discuss options and challenge an initial "it can't be done" when there might be a way. I also had to give the client reassurance, perspective and a realistic view of what could be done.
I was involved in almost everything: the team, clients, suppliers and projects. There was a lot of pressure, but also real satisfaction when we resolved things and delivered.
How I worked through client requests

Frequent visits, strong client relationships
Getting to know
the business.
Visiting golf clients was a regular part of my work at inOne. Spending time at the courses helped me understand their businesses and build strong working relationships through repeated contact.
The buggy was part of those visits. This short clip captures a moment on the course, alongside the conversations and day-to-day contact that made the relationships grow.

One example: coordinating a campaign
Working across
the whole team.
For a padthaiwok campaign in central Madrid, I coordinated the team and worked with the client and suppliers. The visible campaign was the result of that shared effort.

Strategy Consultant in Deals Strategy
My work at PwC includes strategy and due diligence in M&A processes, business analysis and modelling. From my junior position, one of the things I learn most from is seeing how managers and partners break down a client's request into a project and a deliverable.
One example is a project I worked on for several months, where a private equity fund wanted to identify European countries for renewable energy investment. We carried out detailed country analysis and brought it together into a benchmark to compare investment conditions.
In the team, I also value the ambition, curiosity and desire to keep learning and do more. That is part of what I take from working alongside my colleagues, some of whom are now close friends.

Consulting in
another market.
Strategy & Business Analyst, International MBA Internship
I took a four-month leave of absence from PwC to complete my international MBA internship at Andes Edge Consulting in Costa Rica. My work there included business analysis, client proposals and projects involving digital transformation.
One example was my work on the development of a fintech platform intended to make payments more accessible in Latin America. My contribution included meetings, ideas, analysis of currency and banking regulation, comparisons of competitors and analysis of the populations the platform could potentially reach. The outputs were Excel analysis and PowerPoint materials.
Delivery moved faster than I was used to, and the clients had different concerns and priorities. I was working with a US manager in a Latin American market, bringing my experience from Europe. My ideas were taken seriously, and several things I proposed were put into practice.

Back to
Deals Strategy.
After the internship, I returned to my role at PwC. I am continuing my MBA alongside my work in Deals Strategy.
My interest in consulting grew out of wanting to understand business beyond day-to-day client work. In the longer term, I would like to build something of my own.
